Estate Planning

We believe that estate planning serves the best interests of everyone. Estate planning is not just for the wealthy – wills and trusts can be established to serve other purposes.  We provide the full-range of estate planning services including estate tax minimization, drafting wills and trusts, establishing powers of attorney, and living wills to outline your health care wishes.

Attorney Joan Reed Wilson is the type of lawyer who will make you feel comfortable with establishing an estate plan. She will work with you to outline options and to create a plan that best represents your wishes.

Elder Law

We work with people who are looking to ensure that their loved ones or they themselves will receive adequate long-term care. As part of our elder law practice we work to create a plan to transfer, gift, or organize assets to ensure that there is enough money to pay for nursing home care. We also provide services to help people apply for Medicaid, including discussing gifting to your children and the penalties associated with the new FIVE-year look back.

Probate & Estate Administration

Probate is often a long and confusing legal process. The probate process is very different depending on whether or not there is a will in place at the time of death. We are able to work with people involved in either situation. We understand the complicated laws involved in probating an estate and are experienced helping people through the probate process. 

Real Estate

We provide real estate closing services for both buyers and sellers of residential and commercial properties. We assist sellers by preparing and reviewing all documents related to the sale. With buyers we can assist with mortgage documents, perform title searches, and work through any issues that may arise.  We are always present at the real estate closing to ensure that everything is done properly.
